Who’s behind the lens?

We’re Eric and Kelly Hartmann: the husband-and-wife team behind Bridgewater-based SeaLight Creative, and parents to Van Holten and Eisenhower children. We’ve been photographing families since 2012, and we know how to turn even the busiest bunch into picture-perfect memories (yes, even with wiggly kids and goofy dads).

Our Fall Mini Sessions are quick, relaxed, and full of fun.

No awkward poses, no stress…just your family being themselves. We’ll guide you through the whole session so you can laugh, snuggle, and enjoy the moment while we handle the rest.

We love working with local families and schools to help capture the heart of our community, one photo (or video) at a time.

Coordinating colors usually photograph better than everyone wearing the exact same outfit. Neutral tones, earth tones, denim, burgundy, navy, cream, olive, rust, and muted fall colors all work beautifully.

Try to avoid large logos, neon colors, or very busy patterns that may distract from the family.

Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes before your session so everyone is ready to go at your scheduled time.

Since sessions run back-to-back, late arrivals may result in a shorter session.

We’ll move quickly through several combinations depending on your family, including:

  • Full family
  • Children/siblings
  • Parent(s) with children
  • Parent/couple portrait
  • Natural candid or movement shots

Not every family will follow the exact same sequence. Small children, cooperation levels, and family size may change the flow.

Absolutely! Paid PTO members receive a total of 7 images, and returning 2025 Van Holten mini-session clients receive a total of 10 images at no additional cost.

Your gallery may contain additional edited images available for purchase.

Each session will be delivered within 3-5 business days and have its own link to an album in our online gallery. From there you can download your 5 images, or you can pay to upgrade to more images or purchase prints.

You can reschedule your time using the reschedule link in the confirmation email you received from us. If you need help, let us know.

We aim to keep things as low-stress as possible but there are times that children won’t have a ‘connection’ with the photographer and that’s completely normal.

Don’t worry if your child needs a little time to warm up. Sessions are relaxed and designed to capture natural interactions as well as traditional portraits.

Families who would prefer more time, want to include a dog, or need a more flexible portrait session may request a separate 30-minute individual session at another suitable location.

Cost: $150 (If you already paid for your spot, the $85 can be applied)

Includes: 10 edited digital images

PTO donation: $35

Sessions are designed to continue in light rain or less-than-perfect weather, since the gazebo provides some coverage.

If conditions become unsafe or unsuitable for photography, such as heavy rain, strong wind, or severe weather, families will be contacted with a backup plan.

That’s the beauty of this fundraiser. You don’t need to have kids in the school system (or kids at all!). If you found this page from one of our social media posts, this is the perfect opportunity to grab some portrait photos at a low price, while helping fund the school’s activities.

Dogs are not permitted on Eisenhower school grounds, so they cannot participate in the scheduled mini sessions.

If you would like to include your dog, or would simply prefer more time than a 15-minute mini session allows, you may submit the booking form and we can coordinate a separate 30-minute individual session at an alternate location.

The individual session is $150, includes 10 professionally edited digital images, and contributes $35 to the Eisenhower PTO.

Since these sessions are very short, only 1 set of family can be included in one session (i.e. mom and dad with children). If you’d like to include grandparents, or other family members, either book multiple time slots or contact us to book a separate standard 30+ minute photo session.

These photo sessions are happening back-to-back so there’s not a lot of wiggle room with timing. We understand that things happen that may be out of your control so we’ll try to squeeze you in when we can but you may have to wait until the end of the day if we’re fully booked.

As a ‘Thank You’ for supporting the PTO, you’ll receive 20% off any future photo session with us.
